XL was pleased to supply video, audio, lighting and technical crew to BBC News for their Election Debate Focus programmes. One of XL's mini PPU's superimposed the 'Worm' graphics from the BBC locations in Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham over the live incoming debate feeds for the BBC News feed to London.
The PPU then changed roles to switch the pictures from 4 BBC camera into the live programme features on News at 10, Newsnight and the BBC News Channel.
The audio and lighting supplemented the BBC's equipment and included foldback for the studio audience and multiple small lamps controlled on mini dimmers to minimise the power requirements.
