On the 19th July 2010, 94 years to the day since Australian and British troops were killed in the battle of Fromelles, XL Events worked with Jack Morton for the dedication of a new cemetery, and the last burial of one of many soldiers who lost their lives there in 1916.

The new cemetary is the first built by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) since World War II, and contains the remains of 250 of those killed was dedicated today as the last body to be found was buried with full military honours.

XL provided two R7 lighthouse 20sqm screens, along with a 5 camera feed for the broadcasters who turned up on the 19th July.

We provided 3 x 86x zoom lens ,1 of which was on a hoist 50m high, 1 x RF stedi cam link following the procession through Fromelles and a handheld in the cemetery .

The event was televised on Sky News and BBC news with France, Australian and German Broadcasters also using our feed.
