- HP Technology at Work

The brief for this event was to supply video support for HP’s annual Technology event to be held in the Frankfurt Messe. XL supplied support for a 3500 guest plenary session and an exhibition area with fifteen breakouts. The event ran for five days in April in the middle of the volcanic ash disruption which XL overcame by sending its 21 crew members to Frankfurt by bus which took 18 hours!!

The exhibition consisted of 13 stands which XL supported, a T.V. studio and a 4.62m x 2.08m Hi-Resolution LCD video wall.

All 15 breakouts had projection and various levels of speaker support.

The Plenary consisted of a 16m widescreen image. The central screen was off axis on all four sides with a circular logo cutting into one top corner. This projected image was achieved using four Barco FLM 20k projectors with a warped image. The main show was run in keynote with video playback from Pandoras Box. The show also had XL’s state of the art flypack PPU and three Sony HXC 100 HD camera channels.
