- Laughs in the Park

In August we were approached by Mick Perrin and Nick Handford to pitch for the on stage graphics for three of the UKs best loved comedians DYLAN MORAN, EDDIE IZZARD and REGINALD D HUNTER for their performances within the glorious surroundings of Verulamium Park in St Albans, Herfordshire for a show named Laughs in the Park.

The brief was to capture the rock and roll equivalent to Festivals with the Pace and Timing of an on stage Comedy show, without being too slapstick or corny.

We decided to take the audience on a journey through time, taking them through Roman monumental statues and sites to the experience of rock festivals with beer tents and burger bars until they reached the Laughs in the Park stage where they were introduced to the first comic superstar of the evening Dylan Moran. All the graphics were displayed on 3 huge PIXLED F-15 screens also supplied by XL Video, enabling a monumentous effect.

Each act had a name teaser before they entered the 3000 full park with introductory music of their choice.
The outcome produced a fantastic intro to the 3 day comedy gathering, looking striking, colourful and matching the ambience perfectly to the outdoor event.
