Lexus Europe wanted a precise mix of sustainability, technology, innovation and on-brand messaging to craft the right environment for the launch of the Lexus RX 450h hybrid vehicle.
Each part of the mix was tailored to convey the key messages of environmental responsibility, technical excellence and quality that are central to the Lexus philosophy with an extremely challenging climate in automotive industry we had to demonstrate our ability to deliver.
Lead agency Opus Creates were determined to make this something special and not just another flat screen PowerPoint style affair concluding in a reveal. With this in mind Opus sought the expertise available at XL Events to provide a solution to their requirements - Shaped 3D projection on a car, in front of a 16 meter curved and tapered widescreen, all in front projection with the car positioned within 1m of the curved wall.
XL Events had to demonstrate its ability to deliver economies of scale and help offer solutions to the client that met their budget but exceeded their expectations!
Smart technical design and clever use of warped projection, sound and lighting by XL Events allowed a presentation that ticked every box. Technology – clean, smooth and accurate – in line with Lexus’ philosophy. Warped, ‘extreme’ off axis projection allowed projectors to be well out of site allowing the delegate to really believe the car was ‘alive’. XL Events produced an automated solution that allowed Opus to reduce cost to their client by leaving just 3 site crew to operate on an event that would normally require 6 crew. The ‘Set’ was the car that was launched – so now big expense in the manufacture of a custom set for the presentation, hereby encouraging the environmental / sustainability philosophy of the launch of the New Generation RX 450h
